Delivered order · from
The minimum delivered price of an order today, at the cheapest printer available: an order always includes a manufacturing minimum, delivery and the service.
Order limits
Up to 100 copies per online order, $2,278 incl. VAT at most; above that, a custom quote.
What brings the price down
- reduce the dimensions that are not imposed
- switch to printed PETG (redo the safety calculation)
A small object mostly costs its manufacturing and delivery: several copies of the same object, ordered together, share the delivery. A printed PETG version is the most economical option.
How do you get a personalised gift made?
- Describe the person and the ideaWho it's for, the occasion, and the object: a keyring, a piece of jewellery, something useful. Add a photo if a shape matters (an animal, a building, an instrument).
- Write the exact textThe name, the date or the phrase, with capitals and accents. Say whether it should be raised or engraved, and on which face.
- Set the size and your budgetGive the object's size (6 cm for a keyring, 25 mm for a pendant) and pick a delivered print budget range, or let the AI decide.
- Proofread the 3D previewCheck the text letter by letter: once printed, a name can't be corrected. Adjust the size with the sliders, for free. Each part can have its own colour: say it in the chat, click a part or use the Materials tab.
- Order in timeChoose the material and the address, yours or the recipient's. Allow 1 to 3 weeks (estimate): order at least 3 weeks before the date.
What the AI will ask you
- Give the exact text to engrave or raise, with accents.
- Give the object's size: it sets the price and how readable the text is.
- Pick a delivered print budget range, or “No limit”.
- Say the date you need to give the gift.
- Say the material or colour you want: brass, full colour, white or black.
How do you get a name or text right in 3D printing?
Printed text stays readable if it's large enough, deep enough and set in a simple font. objekto applies the minimums of the chosen material: a stroke finer than its minimum detail, listed in the materials table, is flagged before you order, with a suggestion to enlarge it.
- Sans-serif font, fairly bold; avoid handwriting styles with thin strokes.
- Raised or engraved: raised text reads better on a matt surface, engraved text stands up better to a keyring's wear.
- Short text: a name or a date reads better than a whole sentence on a small object.
- In full colour, the text can be a different colour from the object, without relief.
When should you order a personalised Christmas gift to get it in time?
At least 3 weeks before the date: manufacturing and delivery in France take 1 to 3 weeks (estimate) depending on the material, and cast brass takes longest. It's an estimate, not a guaranteed date; before the holidays, leave a margin.
- Design takes a few minutes: manufacturing sets the lead time.
- You can have the gift delivered straight to the recipient.
- Several copies of the same object share the delivery; each different object is a separate order.

- Cast brass: for jewellery and small objects. A printed wax is replaced by the metal; natural, polished or plated finish depending on the catalogue. It develops a patina over time and polishes up with a cloth.
- Full-colour PA12: motifs, gradients and coloured text printed into the material, no painting. The shades are slightly muted and fade in sunlight.
- PA12 (SLS): strong and light, in white, black or dyed; with a vapour-smoothed finish it feels soft for an object handled every day.
- Printed PETG (FDM): the “Economy” option, in several colours; the layers stay visible, which suits a keyring or a bookmark.

What won't objekto do for a gift?
- Logos, brands or licensed characters: possible for your personal use, at your own responsibility; the project can't be published.
- No toys for children under 3: a small object can be swallowed and isn't a certified toy.
- No lookalike portrait of a person from a photo: a shape can draw on it, the result stays an interpretation.
- No guaranteed hypoallergenic jewellery: brass contains copper and can mark some skin.
- No large brass objects: cast metal is for small parts only (maximum size in the materials table).
- No guaranteed delivery date: the lead time is an estimate.

Personalise an existing 3D file
Found an openly licensed model (STL, 3MF, OBJ or STEP)? Import it: the AI adds a name, a date or your motif, adjusts the size, then has it printed. Respect the model's licence: some forbid modification or commercial use, and crediting the author is often required.
Frequently asked questions
What personalised gift can I have 3D printed?
An object that means something to the person, with their name on it: a keyring shaped like their hobby, a brass pendant, a plaque with the date of a memory, an accessory for their instrument or sport. objekto designs the object from your description and shows the price before you order. The ideas on this page can be tried as they are.
How much does a custom name keyring cost?
Expect 950 credits to design a one-part keyring, then the print price in US dollars, delivery included, shown before you order. A delivered order always includes a manufacturing minimum, delivery and the service; a printed PETG version costs less than smoothed PA12 or full colour. Ordering several copies of the same keyring lowers the delivery share per object.
Can I get custom brass jewellery 3D printed?
Yes: pendants, charms or cufflinks are cast in brass from a printed wax, then polished or plated depending on the finish you choose. Brass is for small parts only, and it's the slowest material to make: plan ahead. The firm price, manufacturing minimum and delivery included, is shown before you order.
Will engraved text be readable?
Yes if it suits the material: the AI checks every stroke against the chosen material's minimum detail and suggests enlarging text that's too fine. Prefer a bold sans-serif font and short text on a small object. Proofread the text in the 3D preview: what you approve is what gets printed.
Can I put a logo or a famous character on a gift?
Yes, for your personal use: it's your responsibility, and the project stays private (no publishing, no selling). Workshops may refuse some protected logos or characters. Your own logo or a motif you drew can be published.
Can I give a 3D printed object to a baby?
Not as a toy: objekto doesn't design toys for children under 3, because a small object can be swallowed and no material is certified as a toy. A birth plaque with the name and date, or a frame kept out of reach, remain possible as keepsakes for the parents.
Can the gift be delivered straight to the recipient?
Yes: enter their address when you order, in France only. Allow 1 to 3 weeks (estimate) from order to delivery, and order at least 3 weeks before the date to keep a margin, especially before Christmas. Delivery details are in the FAQ.
