VERSION 2026-11-01 · UPDATED 8 NOV 2026 · FIRST PUBLISHED VERSION

Terms and conditions

To be reviewed by a lawyer. Working draft written from the rules of the service, to be reviewed by a lawyer before paid orders open. This English version is a translation provided for information only. The French version is the only legally binding one. Read the French version

These terms govern the use of the objekto service (part 1, Terms of Use) and the sale of printed objects (part 2, Terms of Sale). The service is published by objekto (a company being registered; its corporate name, legal form, share capital, trade register (RCS) number, registered office and EU VAT number will appear in the legal notice before paid orders open), hereinafter “objekto”. Contact: bonjour@objekto.io · support: support@objekto.io.

By creating an account, you accept the Terms of Use. Every print order and every purchase of credits or a subscription is subject to the Terms of Sale in force on the day of purchase; the accepted version is kept with the order.

Part 1 · Terms of Use

1. The service

objekto designs 3D-printable objects from what you describe (text, photos, sketches, video, files) using an artificial intelligence agent, then has them made by partner industrial workshops and delivers them to you.

The features available, the quotas and the prices depend on your plan (Free, Creator, Pro, Studio) and are described on the Pricing page. Some features may be rolled out gradually.

2. Account and security

Accounts are personal and reserved for people aged 15 and over. Purchases (subscriptions, packs, print orders) are reserved for adults, or minors authorised by their legal guardian.

You provide a valid email address and remain responsible for the use of your account and for keeping your login details confidential. Tell us immediately about any unauthorised use.

Only one welcome bonus is granted per person. Creating multiple accounts to get more may lead to the bonus being withdrawn and the accounts concerned being suspended.

3. Credits

Credits are a unit of use of the service: they pay for AI design (generations, edits, chat messages). They have no cash value, cannot be transferred or converted, and cannot be refunded in money, except when you exercise the right of withdrawal described under “Subscriptions and packs” or where the law requires it.

Before any generation, the price in credits is shown and must be confirmed; it is held, then charged as the steps are completed, and the remainder is returned. Each chat message holds a displayed amount, then only the cost actually measured is charged, up to the stated limit.

When a generation fails through our fault, the credits used are automatically refunded in credits. If you stop an operation, you only owe the steps already completed.

Credits do not expire as long as the account exists, including after a subscription ends. They are lost when the account is deleted.

4. Subscriptions and packs

Subscriptions are monthly or yearly and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; an upgrade is immediate and charged pro rata, a downgrade takes effect at the end of the period. Credit packs are reserved for subscribers.

The service is performed immediately at your express request, collected at checkout. You may nevertheless withdraw within 14 days of buying a subscription or a pack: you are then refunded the price paid, minus the value of the credits from that purchase already used, calculated at your plan's unit price per credit (articles L221-18 and L221-25 of the French Consumer Code). You can make the request from Billing or by emailing support.

Prices include all taxes. Payments are processed by Stripe; objekto does not store any card data.

5. What the AI produces

The AI's checks (wall thickness, clearances, machine size, mesh watertightness, stability, calculated loads) are calculations, not tests. The limits specific to each design — indicative load, no certified food contact, process tolerances — are shown on the design and before ordering. The statutory guarantees apply in full.

Nothing in these terms excludes the conformity of a digital service or of goods with their stated use (articles L224-25-12 and L217-5 of the French Consumer Code). A deliberate departure from these criteria — for example a wall kept thinner than recommended, or choosing “Print anyway” for a version with reservations — can only be held against you if it was presented to you precisely before ordering and you accepted it by ticking a separate box.

The objects designed are not medical devices, protective equipment, toys or materials certified for food contact. A cane is a design object; it does not replace a prescribed walking aid.

6. Intellectual property and licences

  • You keep all the rights you hold in your inputs (texts, photos, videos, sketches, files).
  • Any rights in the designs generated for you are assigned to you, to the extent they exist: copyright protection of works produced by an AI is uncertain and not guaranteed.
  • You grant objekto a non-exclusive, free, worldwide licence, for as long as necessary, to host, process, compute, render and send your inputs and designs to the manufacturer and, for your public projects and the designs you publish, to display them in the gallery under the licence you chose (CC BY 4.0, CC BY-NC 4.0 or “Order only”) — see “Public projects and gallery”.
  • If you tick “Allow others to order this design” when publishing, you grant objekto a non-exclusive, worldwide licence, for the duration of the rights, to manufacture and sell prints of that design and its remixes to third parties through objekto, independently of the gallery licence you chose. You can withdraw it at any time for the future; orders already paid for are honoured.
  • You declare that you hold the necessary rights in what you provide or have reproduced (photos, files, trademarks, existing object, published design) and you indemnify objekto against third-party claims based on a breach of this declaration, within the limits of consumer law. These declarations are timestamped and kept.

Everyone must respect the gallery licences: a remix always shows the attribution of the original design.

7. Public projects and gallery

A new project is public by default: the “Public project” switch, shown when you create it, is on. You can turn it off before creating the project, then at any time in the project with one click on “Public / Private”. Your choice is timestamped and kept.

A public project appears in the gallery (Explore) and on its public page as soon as its main version is ready and its renders exist: title, automatically translated description, renders and 3D model, list of parts and indicative price. While the publication is automatic, the page shows your latest ready version; if you edit the listing in “Share”, the version you chose stays pinned. Your conversation, photos, sketches, videos and uploaded files are never published.

Under a public design, your username and avatar only appear if your profile is public (Settings › Profile); otherwise the design is shown without a name.

The licence applied is your default licence (CC BY-NC 4.0 unless you chose otherwise in your settings). File downloads and orders of your design by others stay off; you turn them on yourself from “Share”.

These stay private without any action from you: projects created before 6 November 2026, copies of an existing object, projects built on an imported file whose licence doesn't allow publication, projects that name a character, a brand or a well-known person, and any listing refused by moderation. You can still publish such a project from “Share”, with your rights statement, if you are entitled to.

By leaving a project public, you declare that you hold the necessary rights in what it shows, as for any publication. Making a project private removes its page and its presence in the gallery; remixes already made by others under the chosen licence remain theirs.

If you plan to patent an invention or keep a design confidential, make the project private before creating it: a publication, even a brief one, can destroy the novelty of an invention.

8. Prohibited content, reporting and suspension

Some objects are never designed, manufactured or published: they are listed in the content policy, which forms part of these terms. A prohibited request is refused at no cost.

Any public content can be reported from its page. objekto handles reports diligently, gives reasons for its decisions and notifies them to the author and to the person who reported, both of whom may appeal.

In the event of a serious or repeated breach (prohibited content, fraud, quota abuse, abusive payment disputes), objekto may suspend creation, remove content or block the account, after informing the user except in an emergency. A blocked account remains viewable in read-only mode.

9. Liability and availability

objekto uses reasonable means to keep the service available and secure, but cannot guarantee permanent availability (maintenance, supplier outages). The generation times shown are estimates.

objekto is not liable for the use of an object contrary to its warnings, for assembly that does not follow the guide, or for hardware bought by the user. Nothing in these terms limits objekto's liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, personal injury, defective products or the statutory guarantees.

10. Personal data

How your data is processed is described in the privacy policy. You can export your data and delete your account from Settings.

11. Changes to these terms

objekto may update these terms. Any substantial change is announced by email or in the service at least 30 days before it takes effect; the Terms of Sale accepted for an order remain those in force on the day of the order. If you refuse the new terms, you can delete your account.

12. Governing law, complaints and mediation

These terms are governed by French law. Any complaint can be sent to support; we reply within 72 working hours.

The consumer mediator objekto belongs to, and their contact details, will be given here before paid orders open. You can refer a dispute to them free of charge after a written complaint that has not been satisfactorily answered within two months.

Failing an amicable agreement, the competent courts are those designated by law; consumers may bring proceedings before the court of their place of residence.

Part 2 · Terms of Sale

1. Seller and prices

objekto is the seller of the prints: it designs the manufacturing file, has the parts made by an industrial partner and is solely responsible to you for conformity, guarantees and after-sales service.

Prices include all taxes (20% French VAT) and delivery to the delivery country. On the English site they are shown and charged in US dollars (your bank may apply its own conversion); on the French site, in euros. The price shown in the summary is locked for 30 minutes at checkout. Hardware to buy (screws, springs, tubes, blades) is never included and is listed separately, with suggested shopping links.

At launch, delivery is offered in mainland France, including Corsica.

2. Ordering and payment

Before you pay, the summary shows the essential characteristics of the object (parts, material, dimensions, process tolerances, finish, colour), its delivered price including VAT, the delivery time, whether or not a right of withdrawal applies, the statutory guarantees and the safety warnings, which must be accepted.

Payment is made by card via Stripe. The amount is authorised when you order and captured when the order goes into production. The order is confirmed by email, with this information on a durable medium.

You can cancel free of charge for 30 minutes after paying, as long as the order has not been sent to the workshop. After that, the object is made to order and the order can no longer be cancelled.

3. Manufacturing and lead times

Parts are made by an industrial 3D-printing partner workshop (currently Craftcloud or 3DAPI; the workshop chosen is named in the summary). The workshop checks every order before production and may reject a part that cannot be made: the AI then fixes it for free and you approve the new version, or you are refunded in full for the items concerned.

The lead times shown are indicative; failing any indication, delivery takes place no later than 30 days after the order (article L216-1 of the French Consumer Code). If delivery is late, you may, after a formal notice that has had no effect, cancel the sale and be refunded (article L216-6).

The risk of loss or damage passes to you on delivery (article L216-4). If your parcel has not arrived after the latest announced date, report it from the order: reprint or refund after the carrier's investigation.

4. Right of withdrawal

An object made to your specifications — your own design, a remix, a design whose parameters you changed — is clearly personalised goods: it carries no right of withdrawal (article L221-28 3° of the French Consumer Code). This is pointed out before payment.

As an exception, a print of a design published by another creator, ordered without any change, comes with a 14-day right of withdrawal from delivery (article L221-18). You exercise it from the order page or by any unambiguous statement; return costs are yours (article L221-23). The refund is made within 14 days and may be deferred until the return is received (article L221-24).

Subscriptions and credit packs follow the rules of part 1, under “Subscriptions and packs”.

5. Guarantees

You benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) for 2 years from delivery, a defect being presumed to have existed at delivery during that period, and from the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code).

Conformity is assessed against the contractual description: approved version, parts and dimensions, material, colour, finish, process tolerances (for example ± 0.15 mm + 0.15% in SLS) and accepted warnings. The guarantee does not cover: assembly that does not follow the guide, use beyond the stated load, normal wear and tear, hardware you bought, or a requirement you maintained despite an accepted warning.

To use it, choose “Report a problem” from the order, with photos. We reply within 72 working hours and offer, depending on the case, a free reprint or a refund.

6. Product safety

objekto is the manufacturer, within the meaning of the regulations, of the objects sold under its name. The warnings specific to each design (indicative non-certified load, printed parts not certified for food contact, not suitable for children under 3, does not replace a prescribed walking aid…) are shown on its page, in the summary and in the confirmation email, and must be followed.

Printed parts never touch food in the intended use: cutting and contact surfaces are off-the-shelf stainless steel parts. Cutting elements are always off-the-shelf parts.

If a risk is identified on an object sold, objekto contacts the buyers concerned and takes the necessary measures, including a recall.

7. Complaints and mediation

Any complaint can be made from the order or by emailing support@objekto.io.

The consumer mediator objekto belongs to, and their contact details, will be given here before paid orders open. You can refer a dispute to them free of charge after a written complaint that has not been satisfactorily answered within two months.
