From your idea to a finished object in 6 steps

Every step follows the same example: a stylish walking cane with a spring effect that cushions it when you put it down.

  1. a stylish cane with a spring effect…

    Step 1: Describe

Text, photos, sketches or a 3D file — with video coming soon.

The AI understands the request and checks that it's allowed.

  2. Step 2: Clarify

3 questions at most, as buttons.

It fills in the dimensions that matter for how the object is used.

  3. Step 3: Choose

2 or 3 concepts (“TPU spring”, “TPU bellows”, “3-section folding”) with a price range.

It suggests how the mechanism could work.

  4. Step 4: Model

The parts appear one by one in the viewer.

It writes CAD code, runs it in an isolated sandbox, measures everything and has it reviewed by a “critic”.

  5. Step 5: Adjust

Free sliders (length, stiffness, handle diameter), chat for everything else.

    Recalculated in seconds, without AI.

  6. Step 6: Order & assemble

Material per part, live price, payment, tracking, PDF guide.

Industrial manufacturing (FDM, SLS, MJF, SLA, cast metal) at our partner workshops.

Three ways to start

EXPLODED VIEW · “KNOTS” CHAIR“Knots” chair

Why split into parts

Machine size, different materials, moving parts, cost. Everything stays printed, joints included: the chair slots together, a toy car's wheels clip onto their printed axle.

  • Dovetails
  • Printed pins
  • Printed threads
  • Snap fits
  • Bayonets
  • Printed hinges

Every multi-part object comes with a PDF assembly guide; the rare part that can't be printed (a magnet, electronics) is listed, ready to use.

What the AI checks

Wall
PA12 ≥ 1.5 mm, we aim for 2–3 mm on structural parts
Detail
Min. detail 0.5 mm, text 0.5 mm
Clearance
Moving parts ≥ 0.7 mm in SLS
Max size
650 × 550 × 350 mm in white PA12
Watertight
Closed meshes, 0 non-manifold edges
Interference
Range of motion tested at 12 positions
Stability
Safety factor ≥ 3 calculated for load-bearing objects

Values for PA12 SLS at the active manufacturer; every material has its own rules.

What objekto doesn't do

  • More than 12 unique parts per object
  • Anything beyond each material's maximum size
  • Weapons or weapon parts
  • Certified products: no medical devices (the cane is a design object, not a walking aid), no food-contact parts (blades and tubes are off-the-shelf stainless steel), no certified loads (the chair isn't tested to EN 12520)
  • Toys for children under 3

FIG. 2 — FROM A TO K · EXAMPLE: THE CANE
  1. Understand and checkThe request is classified and checked against the content policy.
  2. Questions and briefThe dimensions that matter, gathered into a brief and a quote.
  3. Directions2 or 3 principles, each with a rough volume model.
  4. SpecificationParts, joints, materials, loads and tests, all quantified.
  5. CAD code, part by partRun in a sandbox with no network and no secrets.
  6. Checks without AIWalls, clearances, machine size, watertightness, interference.
  7. RendersViews of every part and of the assembly.
  8. Independent reviewA second model reviews it with fresh eyes.
  9. FixesCapped: beyond that, the AI asks what you think.
  10. AssemblyExploded view, assembly order, clearances between parts.
  11. DeliverablesVersion, self-check, “Why this design”, delivered price.

SAFETYThe AI can't do anything outside the design
  • No outside actions: no orders, payments, emails or posts.
  • What's in your files is data, never an instruction.
  • Code runs with no network and no secrets.
MONEYQuote, hold, charge step by step
  • You see the price before you start.
  • Anything unused goes back to your balance.
  • Printing is paid in US dollars, never in credits.
QUALITYNumbers before pictures
  • Clarify before drawing, quantify before coding.
  • An independent review on every version.
  • Tiers S 1 · M 2–4 · L 5–8 · XL 9–12 unique parts.
WHO MAKES IT

Industrial partner workshops, picked for each order

Made by our partner workshops: Craftcloud and 3DAPI. Every design passes the printability checks before you order; the workshop checks the files again and can flag a problem with a part: the AI fixes it for free, or you get a refund.
