Custom figurines designed by AI and 3D printed

In short

objekto (objekto.io) designs stylised figurines (low-poly, faceted, toy style) at the height you choose, from a description and, if you like, a photo, then has them printed and delivers them in France in 1 to 3 weeks (estimate). Design: 950 credits for one part; the print is paid at the price shown before you order (a real gallery example: from $40.90, delivery included).

  • Height of your choice (8 to 25 cm for a figurine to display): together with the material, it drives most of the price.
  • A deliberate style: low-poly, faceted, geometric or rounded like a toy, on a stable base. No lookalike portraits.
  • In full colour, in resin for fine miniatures, or in printed PETG for the “Economy” option.
  • Design: 950 credits for one part, 1,900 credits with a separate base or accessories (2–4 parts). The 2,000 credits free at signup cover the design of a figurine with a base or accessories.
  • Licensed characters: personal use only, never published. No toys for children under 3. Delivery: France only at launch.

What figurines can you have made?

  • Your pet, stylised

Dog, cat, rabbit: the description sets the pose, a photo guides the colours and markings.

  • A character you invented

The hero of your story, a friendly monster, a robot: the AI builds it from simple, readable volumes.

  • Game pieces and meeples

Pieces shaped to your theme, sized for your board, in several colours.

  • Original miniatures

28 to 32 mm figures for your game, on round bases, in resin to keep the detail.

  • Company or club mascot

Your mascot as a figurine for reception, a trade fair or a team gift.

  • Trophies and awards

    A one-off trophy for a tournament, a race or an end-of-year party.

  • Geometric bust

A faceted bust for a shelf or a desk, in matt white or in colour.

  • Seasonal figurine

An elf, a pumpkin, a stylised fir tree: decor that comes back every year.

How much does a 3D printed figurine cost?

A one-piece figurine costs 950 credits to design, then the print is paid in US dollars, at the firm price shown before you order: a delivered order always includes a manufacturing minimum, delivery and the service (today, a delivered order starts at $23.90); at 12 cm tall, expect ≈ $28–34 in PETG (estimate). A real example: Vulpe, a low-poly fox figurine (1 part, from $40.90 delivered, price read on 7 November 2026).

What brings the price down

  • reduce the dimensions that are not imposed
  • hollow it (2–3 mm shell + ribs, two Ø 3.5 mm powder escape holes)
  • switch to printed PETG (redo the safety calculation)

Height and material make up most of the price: a figurine twice as tall holds about eight times as much material, and at the same size resin or full colour cost more than printed PETG. A hollow figurine costs less than a solid one.

How do you get a custom figurine made?

  1. Describe the figurineThe subject, the pose, the style (low-poly, faceted, rounded like a toy) and the use: on display, a game piece, a trophy. Add a photo if you have one: it guides the proportions and colours.
  2. Give the heightSay how tall you want it, base included (for example 12 cm). The figurine is designed at that size; together with the material, the size sets most of the price.
  3. Set your budgetPick a delivered print budget range, or let the AI decide: it adapts the size, the material and the infill.
  4. Check the 3D previewThe AI designs the figurine in parametric CAD, flags details too fine for the material and shows the preview. Adjust the height or the base with the sliders, for free, and pick each part's colour: “black base, orange fox” in the chat or the Materials tab.
  5. Choose the material and orderFull colour, resin for detail or “Economy” PETG: the firm price, VAT and delivery included, is shown before you pay.

What the AI will ask you

  • Give the figurine's height, base included: together with the material, it sets the price.
  • Pick a delivered print budget range, or “No limit”.
  • Say how it will be used: on display, handled like a game piece, given to a child, near a sunny window.
  • Say whether you want it in colour or raw, and the colour of the base.

Can you make a figurine from a photo?

Yes, as a stylised figurine: the photo is a guide, not a model to copy. objekto takes the proportions, the colours and the distinctive marks (a patch, a collar, a floppy ear) and designs a figurine in the manner of a toy or a faceted sculpture. It evokes your pet; it isn't a portrait.

  • One photo from the side and one from the front, in good light.
  • The whole subject, with nothing in front of it.
  • Say what matters most: the pose, a colour, an accessory.

For a faithful, almost photographic figurine, a portrait-figurine studio or a mesh generator is a better fit: see the comparison below and objekto vs Meshy.

Can you make pieces and miniatures for a board game?

Yes: pieces, meeples and original miniatures, at your game's scale, on a round or square base at the size you need. For 28 to 32 mm miniatures, high-definition resin keeps the detail best; a detail finer than the material's minimum detail disappears in print.

Game designers also use it for a game prototype: a set of pieces to test before going to a manufacturer. Box inserts, dice towers and terrain belong on another page: toys and board games.

Which material should you choose for a figurine?

  • Full-colour PA12: the figurine comes out printed in colour, no painting needed. Matt, slightly grainy surface; the colours fade in sunlight.
  • Standard resin (SLA): smooth surface and fine detail, ideal for a figurine you'll paint. More brittle than nylon.
  • High-definition resin (MJP): the smallest detail in the catalogue, for game miniatures.
  • Printed PETG or PLA (FDM): the “Economy” option. The fine layers stay visible, which suits the faceted style.
  • Raw PA12 (SLS): strong, white or dyed, to paint yourself; the right choice for a figurine that gets handled.

What won't objekto do for a figurine?

  • Protected characters (heroes of films, series, video games or manga, brand mascots): personal use only, at your own responsibility, no publishing.
  • No lookalike portraits from a photo: the figurine stays stylised.
  • No toys for children under 3: a figurine has small parts and isn't a certified toy.
  • No realistic weapon replicas, not even as an accessory.
  • Full-colour prints fade in sunlight: keep the figurine indoors.
  • A detail finer than the material's minimum detail disappears: compare in the materials table.

A lookalike figurine from a photo

With a sharp photo of your pet, objekto first creates style images, then turns the one you pick into 3D: a lookalike figurine, in organic volumes, at the height you choose, ready to print and deliver.

Start from a 3D file

Already have the model of a figurine you created (STL, 3MF, OBJ or STEP)? Import it: the AI adapts it (size, base, name in relief) before printing. Only for your own models, or models whose licence allows it.

objekto, a figurine studio or a 3D generator: which should you choose?

The right tool depends on what you expect: an original figurine at a precise size, a faithful likeness, or a model that already exists.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a custom 3D printed figurine cost?

Expect 950 credits to design a one-piece figurine, then the print price in US dollars, shown before you order. A delivered order always includes a manufacturing minimum, delivery and the service; the height and the material make up most of the price. A real example: Vulpe, a low-poly fox figurine (1 part, from $40.90 delivered, price read on 7 November 2026).

Can you turn a photo of my pet into a 3D printed figurine?

Yes, in a stylised version. The photo guides the proportions, colours and markings; the figurine is designed in low-poly, faceted or toy style, at the height you choose. For a faithful portrait, a portrait-figurine studio or a mesh generator is a better fit.

How big can a 3D printed figurine be?

You choose the height, from a game miniature a few centimetres tall to a desk figurine (the AI suggests 8 to 25 cm). The limit is the material's maximum size, listed in the materials table; beyond it, the figurine is split into parts that fit together.

Can I get a full-colour figurine?

Yes: in full-colour PA12, the figurine comes out printed in colour, no painting needed, with a matt surface. The colours are less vivid than hand painting and fade in sunlight. In resin or raw PA12, you paint it yourself.

Can I get a figurine of a film or video game character?

Yes, for your personal use: it's your responsibility, and the project stays private (no publishing in the gallery, no selling). Workshops may refuse some protected models. You can also create your own character or a generic creature: a dragon, a robot, a unicorn, a knight.

Is a 3D printed figurine sturdy?

It depends on the material. PA12 (nylon) copes with handling and knocks better than resin, which is more brittle: a thin resin arm can snap. Before you order, the AI flags parts too thin for the chosen material. A figurine stays a decorative object, not a certified toy.
