A holder shaped to an object
Hairdryer, iron, vacuum cleaner: a holder that fits its shape.
Craft supplies
Reels, brushes, felt-tip pens: storage sized to your collection.
Dividers for an existing box
A grid that fits inside a box you already have.
How much does made-to-measure 3D printed storage cost?
A storage organiser of 2–4 parts costs 1,900 credits to design, then the print is paid in US dollars, at the firm price shown before you order: a delivered order always includes a manufacturing minimum, delivery and the service (today, a delivered order starts at $23.90); beyond that, the volume of material sets the price.
Design
In credits, once per generation; chat messages and edits are charged separately, while sliders, quotes and renders cost no credits.

Delivered order · from
The minimum delivered price of an order today, at the cheapest printer available: an order always includes a manufacturing minimum, delivery and the service.
Order limits
Up to 100 copies per online order, $2,278 incl. VAT at most; above that, a custom quote.
What brings the price down
- thin the non-structural walls
- switch to printed PETG (redo the safety calculation)
- split it into smaller pieces
In industrial 3D printing, the price mostly follows the volume of material and the footprint, not the complexity of the shape: thin but sufficient walls, an open-work base and no more height than needed bring the bill down. Printed PETG is the most economical option.
How do you get storage made to the millimetre?
- Measure the insideUsable width, depth and height, in three places: the smallest measurement counts. Take off 1 to 2 mm so the organiser can be lifted out.
- List what needs storingEach item with its main dimensions: tool lengths, bottle diameters, number of pieces.
- Describe the useA drawer opened ten times a day, a workshop wall, a damp cupboard: say too whether you want to rearrange it later, with modules.
- Check the layout in 3DThe AI places the compartments and splits into modules whatever exceeds the material's maximum size. The sliders adjust dimensions for free.
- Order and fitThe firm price, VAT and delivery included, is shown before you pay. The modules arrive with an assembly guide; a wall holder fixes through countersunk holes planned for your wall screws.
What the AI will ask you
- Give the inside dimensions: usable width, depth and height.
- List the items to store with their main dimensions.
- Pick a delivered print budget range, or “No limit”.
- Say how it's fixed: free-standing, fixed to the wall, hung on a pegboard, or without drilling.
- Say where it goes: damp bathroom, dusty workshop, cold garage.
How do you measure a drawer for a custom organiser?
Measure the inside in three places, keep the smallest figure, and take 1 to 2 mm off the width and depth so the organiser can be lifted out. Note the usable height with the drawer closed too: it limits the height of the compartments.
- Inside width at the front, in the middle and at the back.
- Depth, from the inside of the drawer front to the back.
- Usable height, with the drawer closed.
- Rounded corners, runners or screws sticking out.
Can you get custom modular storage bins without a 3D printer?
Yes: objekto designs the bins from your measurements, then partner industrial 3D-printing workshops make them and deliver them to you; you don't need any machine. Ask for a base grid, for example 5 cm, so the bins combine with each other and can be rearranged later.
Storage larger than the material's maximum size is split into modules that slot or clip together: handier when you move house, too.
Cable management and desk stands have their own page, desk setup; so do cutlery and spice drawers, kitchen accessories.
Which material should you choose for storage?
- PA12 (SLS): the default for storage, rigid and impact-resistant, with a large maximum size for a one-piece organiser.
- PA12 (MJF): more precise and more even, for modules that must slot together without play or a clip-on holder.
- Printed PETG (FDM): the “Economy” option for simple bins, in several colours; the layers stay visible.
| Material | Min. wall | Min. detail | Min. clearance | Max. size (mm) | Properties | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PA12 white (SLS) | 0.7 mm | 0.2 mm | 0.5 mm | 650 × 550 × 350 | rigid · outdoor | $ |
| PA12 dyed black (SLS) | 0.7 mm | 0.2 mm | 0.5 mm | 320 × 230 × 180 | rigid · outdoor | $ |

| PA12 natural grey (MJF) | 0.5 mm | 0.2 mm | 0.6 mm | 380 × 380 × 284 | rigid · outdoor | $ |

What won't objekto do for storage?
- No certified load: a wall holder is sized for its use, with no guaranteed load rating.
- No wall fixings supplied: a wall holder fixes with your usual screws and wall plugs, through countersunk holes the AI plans; everything else is printed.
- No food containers: no material is certified for food contact.
- No guaranteed compatibility with a commercial storage system: give its dimensions and the AI designs from your measurements.
- Each module must fit the material's maximum size: a large organiser is split into pieces.

Frequently asked questions
How do I get a custom drawer organiser made?
Measure the inside of the drawer, list what it needs to hold and describe it to objekto. The AI lays out the compartments to those dimensions, to the millimetre, and shows you the 3D preview; the free sliders correct width, depth and height. You then order the printed organiser, delivered ready to use, without a 3D printer.
Why does a large 3D printed organiser cost a lot?
Because the price follows the volume of material and the part's footprint: a whole drawer organiser, tall and solid, uses a lot of material. Thin but sufficient walls, an open-work base, limited height and printed PETG bring the bill down. Ask the AI for a cheaper version: it names the main cost drivers and what it can simplify.
Can I get a custom wall holder for my tools?
Yes: give the list of tools with their dimensions, or a photo with a ruler next to them, and the AI designs a holder with a place for each, to fix to the wall through countersunk holes or hang on a pegboard. For heavy power tools, no load rating is certified: check the fixing in your wall.
Can 3D printed storage cope with a damp bathroom?
Yes in PA12 or PETG, which cope with bathroom humidity; raw PA12 is slightly porous and cleans better with a vapour-smoothed finish. Avoid resin near a window or a radiator. Printed storage is washed by hand, without soaking, and left to air-dry.
Can I reorder the same modules later?
Yes: the design stays in your space, and you can reorder a module as it is or in another size, whenever you like. Keep the same material and colour for a matching set; a shade can vary slightly from one production run to another. The sliders adapt a module without a new generation.
Does printed storage arrive assembled?
The modules arrive printed, ready to use; storage split into several parts assembles by hand, by slotting, clips or printed screws, and the exploded view shows the order. Allow 1 to 3 weeks (estimate) for delivery in France; details are in the FAQ.
