Printed chair
Legs, rails, seat and back printed, joined with printed pins and threads.
Modular shelving
Uprights and shelves that fit together, without a single screw.
Coffee table
A printed top in pieces that fit together, legs that screw on by hand.
Replacement legs
A broken or too-short leg, remade to the exact size and fixing.
Fittings and brackets
Corners, tees, crosses, three-way joints: to link printed uprights.
Furniture for a small space
Folding, stackable or wall-mounted, sized for a studio flat.
Risers and adapters
Raise a table, adapt a leg to a new floor.
How much does a 3D printed chair cost?
Designing a chair with 5–8 parts costs 3,400 credits (Creator plan); the print is then paid in US dollars, at the firm price shown before you order, and with no instructions the AI aims for a delivered print budget of $137–342 for a chair and $114–285 for a table. Everything is printed: apart from an optional glass top, there's nothing else to buy.
Design
In credits, once per generation; chat messages and edits are charged separately, while sliders, quotes and renders cost no credits.

Delivered print · default target budget
The range the AI aims for if you don't give a budget. It isn't a price: the firm price depends on the object designed and always includes a manufacturing minimum, delivery and the service.

Order limits
Up to 100 copies per online order, $2,278 incl. VAT at most; above that, a custom quote.
What brings the price down
- hollow it (2–3 mm shell + ribs, two Ø 3.5 mm powder escape holes)
- split it into smaller pieces
- switch to printed PETG (redo the safety calculation)
The price follows the volume of material and the footprint: hollow ribbed legs, I-sections and an openwork seat cost far less than solid furniture, while staying printed.
Furniture with many parts can exceed $2,278 incl. VAT, the limit of an online order: it then goes to a custom quote.
How do you get custom furniture made, printed entirely?
- Describe the piece and its useA dining chair, a bar stool, a wall shelf: the use, the space available and the style. Add a sketch or an inspiration photo.
- Give the dimensionsSeat height, width, depth, space available on the wall or the floor.
- Check the exploded viewThe AI designs each leg, rail and seat piece, splits whatever exceeds the material's maximum size into pieces that fit together and shows the assembly guide. The sliders adjust dimensions for free.
- Pick the coloursOne colour per part: say “make the legs black” in the chat, click a part or use the Materials tab.
- Order and assembleThe firm price, VAT and delivery included, is shown before you pay; above $2,278 incl. VAT, it's a custom quote. The parts arrive with the guide and assemble by hand.
What the AI will ask you
- Give the dimensions: seat height, width, depth, space available.
- Pick a delivered print budget range, or “No limit”.
- Say how it'll be used: everyday seating, occasional, decorative, outdoors.
- Say whether you want to take it apart or store it flat.
- Say which parts you want in which colour.
Can a whole piece of furniture be printed, joints included?
Yes: objekto prints everything that can be printed, even when it takes more material. Where classic furniture would use a metal tube, screws or wooden pegs, the AI draws a thicker printed section, ribbed or hollow, and printed joints. Every part arrives printed and assembles by hand, with no glue.
- Legs and rails: I-sections or hollow ribbed sections, thicker than a tube for the same stiffness.
- Joints: coarse threads, pins, bayonets, clips and dovetails, all printed.
- Large parts: split into pieces that fit the machines and fit together by hand.
The one exception, when a design calls for it: a glass top, because glass can't be printed. It's chosen at a size sold as is, rests in place without tools and appears in the parts list with an Amazon link.
How does 3D printed furniture go together?
By hand, following the guide and the exploded view: the parts are designed with the clearance and fit the material needs. A stool goes together by screwing its legs into the seat; a shelf, by fitting uprights and shelves together.
- Printed threads to screw on a leg or extend an upright.
- Dovetails and clips for tops and shelves made of several pieces.
- Soft TPU 95A feet at the end of the legs.
Which material should you choose for furniture?
- PA12 (MJF): the default for legs, rails and joints, dense and precise for even threads and fits.
- PA12 (SLS): close to MJF, with a larger maximum size for a long part such as a table leg or a seat piece.
- Printed PETG (FDM): the “Economy” option, in many colours; for a load-bearing part the safety calculation has to be redone, and the layers stay visible.
- TPU 95A: the soft feet and caps that protect the floor and stop the furniture from sliding.

What won't objekto do for furniture?
- No certified load rating: the AI sizes load-bearing parts with a safety margin, but these are calculations, not tests.
- Each printed part must fit the material's maximum size: a large element is split and assembled.
- No more than 12 unique parts per piece of furniture; the same part can be printed several times.
- No shop-bought parts to bring the price down: only a glass top, when the design includes one, is bought separately.
- No copies of a designer's or a brand's furniture: protected designs are refused.

Got a model of a leg or a fitting (STL, 3MF, OBJ or STEP), your own or an openly licensed one? Import it: the AI adapts it to your dimensions and to a printed joint, then has it printed. Respect the original model's licence.
Custom printed furniture or shop-bought furniture: which should you choose?
Two ways to get a piece of furniture; the right one depends on the size, the style and the price you'll accept.

Frequently asked questions
What does a delivered 3D printed chair cost?
It mostly depends on the printed volume. With no instructions, the AI aims for a delivered print budget of $137–342 for a chair, plus 3,400 credits of design. Hollow ribbed legs and an openwork seat bring the price down; a solid, massive seat pushes it up. Everything is printed: there are no tubes or screws to buy on top.
Can I get 3D printed furniture made to measure?
Yes: give the dimensions and the use, and the AI designs every part, legs, rails, seat and joints included. A part larger than its material's maximum size is split into pieces that fit together. You get an exploded view and an assembly guide, and the parts assemble by hand.
Is a 3D printed stool strong enough to sit on?
The AI sizes load-bearing parts with a safety margin, thickening the sections where classic furniture would have a metal tube; but these are calculations, not tests: no load rating is certified. PA12 is a tough engineering nylon. For heavy use or a public venue, choose furniture tested to the standards.
Can I get a broken furniture leg remade by 3D printing?
Yes: measure the height, the section and the fixing (the existing threaded rod, a push-fit), add a photo, and the AI designs the leg to those dimensions, with a printed thread for the furniture's rod and a soft foot if you like. Order several copies to keep matching legs. See also spare parts.
Do I need to buy screws or tubes to assemble printed furniture?
No: the joints are printed with the furniture, threads, pins, clips and dovetails, and everything assembles by hand. The only possible bought part is a glass top, when the design includes one: it's chosen at a size sold as is and listed with an Amazon link.
Why do some 3D printed furniture designs need a quote?
An online order stops at 100 copies and $2,278 incl. VAT; furniture with many printed parts can exceed that amount. In that case, objekto draws up a custom quote. Hollowing the legs, opening up the seat or moving some parts to printed PETG can bring the piece back under the limit.
Do I need a subscription to design furniture?
Usually, yes: furniture with 5–8 parts needs the Creator plan, and with 9–12 parts the Pro plan. The 2,000 credits free at signup cover the design of a simpler object, such as a leg or a set of fittings. Delivery in France in 1 to 3 weeks (estimate). Plan details are on the pricing page.
