Add your brand: 3D logos, signs and branded objects

In short

objekto (objekto.io) puts your logo in relief or engraved on a sign, a counter display or a branded object, from an image of your logo and a description, in Design mode, then has it printed in full colour or a single colour. Expect 950 credits for one part, then the firm print price, shown before you order; delivery in France in 1 to 3 weeks (estimate).

  • Width of your choice (the AI suggests 10 to 40 cm for a sign): it drives most of the price.
  • Your logo as an image (JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC); SVG isn't accepted today.
  • Your own logo only: you declare you hold the rights to what you supply, and other brands' logos are refused.
  • Design: 950 credits for one part, 1,900 credits for a display of 2–4 parts. The 2,000 credits free at signup cover the design of a first object.
  • Small runs: up to 100 copies and $2,278 incl. VAT per online order. Delivery: France only at launch.

How much does a 3D printed logo cost?

A one-part object with your logo costs 950 credits to design, then the print is paid in US dollars, at the firm price shown before you order: a delivered order always includes a manufacturing minimum, delivery and the service (today, a delivered order starts at $23.90); for a sign 20 cm wide, expect ≈ $23–28 in PETG (estimate), and a display of 2–4 parts costs 1,900 credits to design.

What brings the price down

  • thin the non-structural walls
  • switch to printed PETG (redo the safety calculation)
  • reduce the dimensions that are not imposed

The price follows the volume of material: a logo raised a few millimetres on a thin plate reads as well as a thick block and costs much less. For a run, ask for the quote for one copy, then for the quantity you want.

How do you get a sign or an object made with your logo?

  1. Prepare your logoA sharp image (PNG or JPG), on a plain background, in its simplest version: single-colour if you have one, without gradients or drop shadows.
  2. Describe the objectIn Design mode: a sign, a plaque, a display or a giveaway, its size, how it fixes, and whether it lives indoors, in a shop window or outside under cover.
  3. Give the width and the budgetThe width sets most of the price; pick a delivered print budget range, or let the AI decide.
  4. Check the 3D previewThe AI redraws the logo as volumes, flags lines too fine for the material and shows the preview. Adjust the relief depth or the size with the sliders, for free, and give the logo and the background their colours, part by part, in the chat or the Materials tab.
  5. Choose the material and the quantityFull colour, single-colour PA12 or “Economy” PETG: the firm price, VAT and delivery included, is shown before you pay.

What the AI will ask you

  • Attach your logo as an image (PNG or JPG), in its simplest version.
  • Give the width of the sign or the object: it sets most of the price.
  • Say raised or engraved, and the colours: logo in full colour or in a single colour.
  • Say where it will sit: indoors, in a sunny window, outside under cover.
  • Pick a delivered print budget range, or “No limit”, and the number of copies.

Will your logo be reproduced faithfully in relief?

Not always identically: the AI redraws your logo as volumes from the image. A simple logo, in solid shapes and few colours, works well in relief; a fine or detailed logo is simplified. Always check the 3D preview before you order.

  • Send the single-colour or simplest version of your logo, in good resolution.
  • A line finer than the material's minimum detail disappears: make the object bigger or the line thicker.
  • Text that's too small becomes unreadable: on a small part, keep the symbol only.
  • Gradients and shadows don't work in relief: use flat colours.

Which licences let you add your brand to a design?

Your own design, always; a design published by another creator in the gallery, depending on its licence. The table sums up the three licences of objekto's gallery:

Design licenceAdd your brand (remix)Sell the objectsCondition
CC BYYesYesCredit the original creator
CC BY-NCYesNoCredit them, and no commercial use
Order onlyNo—No remix: the design is ordered as it is, without your brand

You declare you hold the rights to the logos and brands you supply (terms). The logo of another company, club or brand is refused without the rights. objekto doesn't give legal advice and doesn't register trade marks for you.

How many branded objects can you order?

Up to 100 copies per online order, within $2,278 incl. VAT; above that, objekto provides a custom quote. 3D printing suits small runs, personalised objects and shapes that are hard to mould.

For hundreds of identical giveaways, a promotional products supplier is a better fit. To go on and design a whole product under your brand, see product manufacturing.

Which material should you choose for a logo or a sign?

  • Full-colour PA12: your logo comes out printed in colour, through the material, no painting needed. Matt surface; colours less vivid than print on paper, and they fade in sunlight.
  • PA12 (SLS): strong, white or dyed a single colour; a raised or engraved logo reads through light and shadow.
  • Printed PETG (FDM): the “Economy” option for a simple sign or giveaways; the layers stay visible.
  • Standard resin (SLA): smooth surface and fine detail, for a small detailed logo or an object to paint; more brittle, keep it indoors.

What won't objekto do with a logo?

  • No logos, brands, mascots or characters of another company without the rights: they're refused.
  • No exact match with your brand guidelines' colours: order one copy before a run.
  • No mass production: 100 copies and $2,278 incl. VAT per online order; above that, a custom quote.
  • No printed electronics: for an illuminated sign, the LEDs are the bought exception, a ready-to-plug kit listed with an Amazon link; a mains connection is a professional's job.
  • No guaranteed weather resistance: a printed sign lives indoors or outside under cover.
  • No legal advice and no trade mark registration.

Add your brand to an existing 3D file

Already have a 3D model (STL, 3MF, OBJ or STEP): your own product, or an open-source model whose licence allows changes and the use you have in mind? Import it: the AI adds your logo in relief or engraved, or a name plate, before printing.

A sign maker, a promotional products supplier or objekto: which should you choose?

A shopfront sign, a trade fair and a run of giveaways don't call for the same supplier: objekto covers three-dimensional objects and small runs.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a 3D printed logo sign cost?

Expect 950 credits to design a one-part logo or sign, then the print in US dollars, at the price shown before you order. A delivered order always includes a manufacturing minimum, delivery and the service; at 20 cm wide, expect ≈ $23–28 in PETG (estimate). The width and the thickness make up most of the price.

How do I add my logo to an existing 3D model?

On a design you created with objekto, ask for it in the chat: the AI adds your logo in relief or engraved where you want it, then you check the preview. On a gallery design, remix it if its licence allows (CC BY or CC BY-NC) and keep the credit to the original creator.

Can I sell a remixed open-source 3D model with my brand?

It depends on its licence. In objekto's gallery, a CC BY design can be remixed and sold if you credit its creator; a CC BY-NC design can be remixed but not sold; an “Order only” design can't be remixed. Outside the gallery, read the original model's licence. objekto doesn't give legal advice.

Can I get branded giveaways 3D printed?

Yes, in small runs: keyrings, bag clips, badges, table signs or small stands with your logo, up to 100 copies and $2,278 incl. VAT per online order. For hundreds of identical pieces, a promotional products supplier is a better fit; 3D printing is for original objects and small quantities.

Can I print another brand's logo?

No, unless you hold the rights: other companies' logos, brands, mascots and characters are refused under the content policy. For a client, a club or an association, you declare that you have their consent when you supply the logo; that declaration is timestamped and kept.

Will a 3D printed sign last outdoors?

Under cover, yes for PA12 in the colours rated for outdoor use, shown in the materials table. In full sun and rain, colours fade and nothing is guaranteed weatherproof. For an exposed shopfront sign, a sign maker remains the better fit.

Is the design of an object with my logo protected?

Your logo stays yours. For the object's design, any rights are assigned to you, but copyright protection for a creation produced by AI is uncertain and isn't guaranteed (terms). A project is public by default: make it private with one click if your logo isn't out yet; to protect a brand, ask a professional.
